The National Population Council (NPC), with funding support from the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), convened a stakeholder dissemination meeting to present the findings of a national scoping study on Reproductive Health Education (RHE) in Ghana.
The meeting brought together key partners and stakeholders including the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Health Service, civil society organisations, development partners, and other relevant institutions to review the study findings and provide input to inform policy and programme development.
The study examined the current state of RHE in Ghana, identifying critical gaps in curriculum content, delivery approaches, and policy implementation. Key challenges highlighted included the fragmented delivery of RHE across subjects, limited coverage of essential topics, socio-cultural resistance, and inadequate coordination among stakeholders.
